Description: | Press badge or medal, consisting of an upper pin, roughly rectangular in shape from which is hung a red white and blue striped silk ribbon. The bottom of the ribbon is pleated and slotted through an opening in the top of a roughly circular medal. The pin section is embossed: BERLIN, ONT. The ribbon is stamped with gold letters: PRESS. The medal is embossed with the design of the city of Berlin's crest, 1912, and (at the base): CANADA. The back of the medal is embossed with the following: 1799-1912/CELEBRATION OF CITYHOOD BERLIN/JULY 15-20, 1912. At the bottom of the medal back and above the ribbon slot is (barely legible) the maker's name: THE GREENDUCK (?) CO., CHICAGO. Metal parts are painted (it appears) with gold paint. The City of Kitchener crest is further painted in colours of white, green and blue. Type of metal unknown.
