| Description : | A lapel pin that is a General Service Pin. On the back of the pin it states the following: 263008 Penalty for Misuse $500.00 Dollars or 6 Months Imprisonment. The pin measures 7/8 of an inch high and 9/16 inches wide. This pin has a King's crown with red enamel and below the crown is a shape of a shield coloured silver with three red maple leafs joined at the stem and under the shield it says General Service in silver on a blue enamel background. The pin was given to members of the Naval, Military or Air Forces of Canada who have declared their willingness, or who have engaged, to serve in any of the said forces on active service beyond Canada and Overseas, during the present war, and who have been honourably ceased to serve on active service: 1- After not less than three months of continuous paid service. 2 - By reason of physical disability. |
