Description : Ladies Swagger Coat, Westrex Product, made by John Atkinson & son Ltd, Sowersbridge, England.;;The swagger coat - a short coat with a full flared back-became part of a woman's wardrobe in the early 1930s and remained a fashion staple until the mid 1950s. The set in plain sleeves, short length, and pockets with flaps date this coat shortly before the outbreak of World War II.;;John Atkinson & Son Ltd. was established in 1858, and specialized in high quality blankets. One of its earlier customers was the Hudson's Bay Company who ordered point blankets from them. It is now part of A.W. Hainsworth 7 Sons, a large textile conglomerate that still maintains the John Atkinson brand for their top line blankets.
