Description : | This fountain pen has a black plastic shaft and a brown plastic finger grip. A piece of paper with the pen's accession number has been taped to the finger grip. The tip of the pen is made of metal and is dark brown in color. It should also be noted that the tip has become rusted and cracked off just below the reservoir. |
Commentaires : | Before disposable ball point pens were made with tubes of ink inside them, fountain pens like this one were used for writing. This would be done by dipping the tip of the pen into an ink well to fill the pen's reservoir. The pen would then be used until the reservoir was empty, at which point it would need to be refilled using the ink well again. |
