| Description : | This badge is made up of a green, white and pink circular fabric attached to a vertical ribbon of the same colours. A gold star can be seen in the center of the circle, with "Star of the Sea Association" and a cod fish on the ribbon in black thread. Brown yarn has been sewn onto the bottom of the ribbon. |
| Commentaires : | This is a badge that was worn by a member of the Star of The Sea Society, a Religious Organization that got it's name from one of the many symbols of the Virgin Mary in the Catholic Church. This organization had many groups throughout Newfoundland, including one in Ferryland. These badges would be worn by members whenever there was a meeting. |
