Description : A black cast iron kettle with a handle, lid and spout. It was used for boiling water on a stove or open fire. The handle is semi-circle shape and flat on both ends which is attached to the upper part of the kettle. The lid has decorative indents and a pointed top with four sections underneath. The spout is shaped like a goose neck with a > - shape top. On the bottom of the kettle reads "F. Puch N0 1/0 51/2 P Wednessbury." Made in the latter 1700's, early 1800's. It was used in a household.
