| Description : | The artifact is an axe handle. It is made of wood and is light brown in color. The handle has a very shallow "S" curve with a flare at the end to help avoid the user loosing grip. In England and Newfoundland another name for an axe handle was "Helve." The handle is fitted into the eye of the head of an axe. |
