| Description : | Two brown U-shaped heel savers with five small holes in each. Used by the Cobbler (Shoemaker) for attaching to a boot or shoe when the heel was deteriorating to make it last longer and avoid having to pay for a new pair or getting them repaired. A Cobbler or Shoemaker is a person who makes and repairs shoes either damaged in manufacturing or from recurring use. Operating a stitching machine or stitching by hand he/she could repair broken or missed stitches and replace parts. |
