| Description : | The artifact is a trying plane. It is a wooden rectangular block. The plane has a square opening near the center for an iron blade or bit and a wooden wedge. This plane is also known as a "trueing plane." The trying or trueing plane was handmade and used for leveling floors and roughing. The handle is broken. This plane belonged to the donors father, Mr. Pearce Jones, Trintiy East. |
