Description : | Three artificial legs that belonged to Mr. John Clarke of Dunfield who served in the First World War. Two of the legs are wooden and one is fiberglass. The legs are hinged at the knee and the ankle. The foot is covered with leather and there are leather straps on the front and back of the legs. A shoulder brace would be attached to both straps to help keep the leg in place. Two of the legs have a padding the the upper part of the leg for protection. The fiberglass leg has a brace attached. The artificial legs are a natural skin color. The paint is scaling off the wooden legs. |
