| Description : | The artifact is a red hob grate. It a rectangular shape and consists of two legs and three sides. The hob grate is also known as a firebasket. The hobs on either side of a hob grate were shelves of brick masonry and were a little higher than the top of the grate. Tea was steeped in the teapot which stood on the hob and cooked food would be place there in order to keep it warm. |
