Description : | Tool made of hardwood (maybe maple & oak) curved in shape and constructed of 3 pieces of wood screwed together with a handle thro' the centre piece of wood. A 3 cm blade is located on one side of the central wooden curved piece & 5.5. cm & located 5.5. cm from the outer circumference. At some time another piece of metal was fixed to one side of this blade - 4 screw holes are evident. Two nuts and bolts attach a curved piece of wood to the larger on. One the reverses side of the large curved wood is a metal plate - 4 sided 4.7 x 8.2 x 8 x 9 cm with the semi circular9 cm side slightly curved. A metal semi circular tongue 4 cm diam projects from the 8 cm side and raised 1.2 cm from the flat wooden surface. A blade close to the handle is 11 cm long, 1.1 cm deep with a groove cut .5 cm deep & .7 cm wide along its length. This blade is bolted to another small curved piece of wood. Two other smaller bolts hold the wood onto the larger piece. A metal disk has been bolted into the end of the curved wood. |
