Description : | Rectangular photograph in small dup rectangular gold painted wood frame. Photo mounted on gray mat. Subject of photo is a seated, older woman, facing forward, hands crossed at waist, right elbow rests on cloth covered table. She is wearing a black dress; very full skirt, button front bodice; leg o' mutton sleeves cuffed at wrist; pleated trim on bodice and sleeves; large brooch at throat; black net head piece. Hair is pulled away from face; prominent eyebrows, hooded eyes, rounded nose, downturned mouth, double chin. Backing cardboard held in place with eight metal points. Eyehooks of two different sizes and string for hanging on back. |
Fonctions : | Runciman house artifact: house built in 1817 by Rev. John Millidge. George Runciman took possession in early 1840s. In 1978 the property transferred to Heritage Canada. Sold to private owner in 2009, at which point many artifacts from the house were given to AHS by Heritage Canada . |
