Description : A bucksaw is a handsaw,. It has a metal C-shaped frame and a removable blade with coarse teeth. A leather strip covers the teeth. It is fastened with 5 green ties. 
Commentaires : A bucksaw is generally used to cut logs or firewood to lengths. They can be either a one or two man saw.
Fonctions : Murdoch Beaton was the son of Anne (MacIsaac) & Joseph"Joe The Pope"  Beaton of Little Judique. Murdoch died in Ontario on March 11, 2013. He wanted Hugh MacIsaac (his friends and 4th cousin) to have his bucksaw. He gave it to him before he died. As far as Hugh knows, it was in the Beaton family but he did not know for how long.
