Description : | A wooden ship is docked at the Public Wharf in Port Hood. It has three masts and the sails are down. The Court House is easily identifiable in the background. Two automobiles are visible on the wharf. A label is attached to the back of each photo. The photo in the binder is attached to a piece of white paper with glue. This is a copy of an original photo. |
Commentaires : | This photograph can likely be dated in the late 1930s. It is post 1935 because the Court House is the present brick structure. Work began on that Court House in 1936 after the previous structure burned to the ground on December 5, 1935. The new Court House opened to workers in December of 1936 and was officially opened in January of 1937. |
