| Description : | Donald and Elizabeth are pictured from the chest up. There is a blue/green background. Donald is wearing a three piece suit. Elizabeth has a dark dress with a fancy collar and hat. |
| Commentaires : | Donald Gillis was born in December 1850 in Little Judique. Elizabeth Rankin was born in September of 1850 in Mabou Coal Mines. They married in 1881 according to Allan Gillis database their 50th anniversary was in 1931 (the family information sheet has 1880 as the year of marriage). Donald died October 26, 1937 and Elizabeth died January 2, 1946. Both are buried in Port Hood. |
| Fonctions : | The photo came into the possession of Gus Gillis grandson of Donald and Elizabeth. Gus was the son of their son Duncan. Gus restored the original picture and his daughter Elizabeth sent it to the museum via D.J. MacEachern of Windsor, ON. |
