| Description : | pocket watch & wooden stand. Top lifts up on 2 back hinges and the front door swings down. Winding key still attached to chain, and the watch still winds but the hands do not respond. A hook inside the top of the box allows the pocket watch to hang in front of a circular pane of glass in the front door, so you can see the time with the door shut. The chain slides into a wooden pocket in the back, on which the body of the watch also rests. Pieces of the base are missing or detached, causing the box to no longer stand upright. A strip of white medical tape on the bottom says "A. Long 221 Cottage" which is referring to Cottage Road here in Sydney. |
