| Commentaires : | Lt. Col Frank Parker Day, CO. A company was recruited form Inverness, Richmond and Victoria; B company from Glace Bay, New Waterford; C Company from Syd Mines, N. Sydney and D company came from the Mira district. Honorary Colonel was D.H. MacDougall, President of Dominion Steel and Coal. Batallion trained at Broughton, a deserted mining town, near Glace Bay. Were presented with pipes and drums which came from various sources, such as, citizens of Glace Bay, Sydney's Royal Yacht Club, New Glasgow and North Sydney. Beside the pictures of the officers and men, their serial numbers, ranks and home towns are listed. |
