Fonctions : | Field-Marshal Lord Frederick Robert was a celebrated British combat leader in the late 19th Century. He was born in British-controlled India in 1832 and died in France in 1914. He proved himself as a successful leader of the British forces during the Indian Mutiny in the 1850s, and during the Second Afghan War in 1880. He was made the commander in chief of the British army and was the last to hold this position for the British Empire. He distinguished himself during the Boer War around the turn of the 20th Century. Lord Roberts' face was a popular addition to mugs and plates during the peak of his popularity in the late 19th Century. |
