Description : A hand crafted, Boy Scout walking stick - owned by Ron (R.F.) Boyce, when he was District Commissioner, 1946. Made fully from the trunk of a tree - possibly poplar. All but one branch - which at the top of the stick veers to the side for about 3cm - have been trimmed off. The branch is well varnished and the dark stained finish emphasizes "R.F. Boyce D.C", which is carved into it's side. There are holes drilled through the stick, near top and at the bottom, attaching a leather thong with knots.
