Description : Empty shell casing, with "#5 470 + SP 252 POLTE MAGDEBURG MAI 1916" engraved on the base and "SCHIGZUSCHC14 95TL" on the firing button. The shell has been decorated, with engravings of a stylized six petal flower on one side, the Canadian Medical Corps. insigna on another and a maple leaf in a circle, on the opposite side.
