| Commentaires : | This desk is from the dispersal of artifacts of the Oxford Museum, Cumberland County, N.S. This desk was used in a school classroom. The seat mounted on the front of the desk would correspond with the desk in front of it. Therefore, the last seat in the row would only consist of the bench. Two students would be seated per desk, almost always two boys or two girls, leaving very little room to move. This desk was in the collection of the Oxford Museum in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia until it closed. |
