Description : | Small rectangular metal case. Silver in colour. Contains a metal syringe, two needle tips in a corked glass tube, and a glass cap. |
Commentaires : | Used by Dr. Eagar, radiologist at EKM ( Eastern Kings Memorial Hospital). The syringe case once contained Morphine tartrate, Digithlin, and Strychnine Hydrochloride. According to Dr. Doug Denton, while Eager was ill at EKM, he was as yellow as a canary but he read X-rays until an hour before he died. |
Fonctions : | Evans and Company was a surgical instrument maker active from 1803 until 1867 at 10 Old Change London, England and then 12 Old Fish Street London, England. Eastern Kings Memorial Hospital opened in 1930 as the first public hospital in Wolfville, NS. It was designed by Leslie R. Fairn and built by Charles H. Wright. The first doctors to work at the hospital were Dr. Perry Cochrane, Dr. Malcolm Elliot and Dr. William Eager. In 1996 the hospital was turned into a Health Care Centre and is now called the Eastern Kings Memorial Community Health Centre. |
