Description : | A wedding group photograph of a bride and five (5) bridesmaids. All are holding bouquets and the bridesmaids are wearing hats. |
Commentaires : | The photo is of Brenda (Blossom) Beryl Harding Caron (1905-1999), a relative of the donor, taken in 1932 on the occasion of her wedding. It shows the bride and her five attendants. Blossom was well known as an international exhibitor in photography. In 1948 she was Canada's most successful exhibitor, and was the 30th most successful exhibitor in the world. She was named fellow of the Photographic Society of America and Associate of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain. One of her prints is in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington. |
