Description : | Framed black and white photograph of farms, farmland, and orchards situated in a valley. |
Fonctions : | The donor's father, also Milford Kennie, grew up on the Kennie farm situated left of centre in the photograph. The farm still exists today. Milford had an older brother named Chesley. As a young man Milford joined the Wolfville Hockey Team (see 12.11.1). Milford decided to try his fortunes in the Boston area of the States after 1929 and eventually worked for the Town of Millis where he met and married Mary MacDonald from New Glascow (MacPherson's Mills). They had two children, the donor and his sister. Milford kept these pictures throughout the years unframed but the donor realized how important they were to him as fond reminders of his days growing up in the Gaspereau Valley. |
