Description : | Dinner plate is white with over all blue-grey transfer printed floral design - peony and vase motif; in the centre bottom a bouquet of flowers sits in a bowl with ornate legs which in turn rests on a linear pattern; around the edge of the bottom is another linear box-like design; the rim has smaller flower design around it; the outer edge has a blue-black border with bell shapes; on the bottom is the manufacturer's print (see accession sheet for drawing) with words NANKIN JAR, GRANITE IMPROVED CHINA, R&M. |
Commentaires : | Previously owned by Mrs Richard Starr, mother of donor. Mrs Richard Starr (May Rosina) was curator of Randall House from 1942 - 1963. |
