Description : Hand painted dessert plates have a wide pink border with a small gold design around the inside and a narrow gold edging on the outside. Each plate has a different handpainted floral design in the centre. Some of the plates have a maker's mark stamped into the back. See Marks & Labels.
Commentaires : According to the donor's grand daughter, her grandmother may have bought the plates as blank pieces and then painted them when she was in Halifax around 1900. The donor was the first domestic science teacher in the area in the 1930s and 1940s.
