| Description : | The photo shows a low industrial building on a wharf with a 3 masted schooner docked for loading and unloading. A sign on the building reads Blenkhorn's AXE factory. |
| Commentaires : | Blenkhorn was a merchant and a blacksmith who made double-bitted axes, first by hand and later in a factory in Canning, NS across the street from his private residence. He was joined by his sons Sydney and George Hennigar Blenkhorn. In 1962 production ceased and in 1968 the old axe factory was demolished. |
