| Description : | The trunk is primarily made of pine. The lid is hinged and it has an inside hinge so the lid opens to a 90 degree angle. The edges of the trunk (strongbox) are covered with iron for protection. The depth of the lid is 9cm. The inside is lined with paper. On the outside of he trunk, there is black canvas, which has seen much wear. There is a 25.5 cm length handle on the lid. It is made of leather and adhered to the pine bydecorative iron strapping. There are also two small clasps 10cm in length and a larger lockable clasp i n front. |
