| Commentaires : | This is a hearth broom in the fashion of European round hearth broom style. It was also known as a splint broom. It was made by whittling out of birch bark in thin stripes and peeling it down to form the bristles. It was idea for sweeping the fireplace and outdoor chores. It was a yearly chore on pioneer farms to make this broom. |
