Commentaires : | A powder horn is a tool used to carry gun powder, and was generally created from cow or buffalo horn. They were most commonly used with 18th century muskets, but were rendered obsolete by the development of self contained cartridges. The use of animal horn along with nonferrous metal parts ensures that the powder would not be detonated by sparks during storage and loading. Horn is naturally water proof and hollow. |
