Commentaires : | This is the emblejm of the Canadian Girls in Training, a church-based program for girls and young women aged 11 to 17. It was formed in 1915as an alternative to Girl Guides. the program still exists, but today is much smaller than it once was. In 1933, there were about 11,000 groups with about 40,000 members across Canada. Almost any community that had a Protestant church had at least one CGIT group. Boys tended to make fun of them, saying that the letters stood for "Craziest Girls in Town," but the CGIT members responded that they meant "Cutest.... |
