| Description : | Floral design on white background, twenty ( blocks ) of four red flowers joined at the stems also yellow and green patterns. |
| Commentaires : | From an interview with Harvey Dalling; Captain William Solomon Davis from Hatfield Point sailed to China in 1870, to India in 1872, and in 1875 to Ceylon. We have souvenirs of each of his trips: the souvenir of China is the fan, for Indian trip is the feather cape and for the Ceylon trip is the quilt which his wife made on the ship. Written on the quilt, in black ink: "S. & M. E. Davis, made in the South Atlantic on a passage from Bombay India, February 1875. |
