Description : Skirt - Two piece ensemble. Made of black corded silk and fully lined with light brown material. Hook and eye closure at back on waistband. Made in five panels. Hand and machine stitched.�In Box 28 Textile Room. On Temporary display in Main Display area
Commentaires : This wedding ensemble was worn by donor's grandmother, Eliza Amelia Corbett at her to marriages to George Armstrong on July 4, 1892 in Queens County, New Brunswick. Their farm was expropriated fro Camp Gagetown. It was located in Armstrong Corner. Marion Patterson is the daughter of Austin and Orie ( Allingham ) Armstrong of Roachville, Kings County, N. B. Austin died in 2005.
Fonctions : Worn by Eliza Amelia Corbett on the occasion of her marriage to George Armstrong on July 4, 1892 in Queens County. They lived on a farm in Armstrong's Corner in part of what is today Camp Gagetown. Donated by her granddaughter Marion (Armstrong) Patterson
