Commentaires : Dress was worn by Flora Evangeline Craig of Cole Stream, Carleton County, New Brunswick when she married Walter Marly Beaman of Lutes Mountain, Westmorland County, New Brunswick on April 24, 1948. They were married at the First United Baptist Church parsonage, 157 Queen Street, Moncton, New Brunswick by Rev. I. Judson Levy. Witnesses were Ronald Hope and his wife, Celia (Beaman) Hope, sister of Walter Beaman. Flora Craig was born December 07,1927, daughter of Elzie and Ethel (MacLean) Craig. Walter Beaman was born January 13,1920, son of Oliver and Helen (Mitton) Beaman. Flora came from Carleton County to Moncton to take a dressmaking course at the New Brunswick Technical Institute (now New Brunswick Community College). Wedding dress was purchased at the T. Eaton Company department store for $16.00. The T. Eaton Company was located on Foundry Street, Moncton, New Brunswick, the present day site of Heritage Court. Flora tells us that it snowed eight inches the day they were married.
