Description : An army green coloured hat with a stiff beak. It has been decorated above the peak with brown leather strap that is doubled and capable of increasing or decreasing in size around the front half of the hat. The strap is attached to the hat by 2 brass buttons that is decorated with a maple leaf surrounded by 2 concentric circles. Between these circles is a motto. On the front of the hat above the leather is a darker green diamond shaped piece with two holes. 
Commentaires : This hat was worn by either Laura Patton (sergeant) or Frances Patton (Staff Sergeant) of Moncton, New Brunswick. These sisters served in the Canadian Women's Army Corp during the second world war. Laura served in Britain, but the war ended before Frances could leave for the far east.
Fonctions : The hat was part of the Canadian Army Women's Corp uniform during the second world war. The hat is dated 1944.
