| Description : | a sampler worked on coarse linen consisting of 6 rows of letters worked in cross-stitch in red and green thread, at the top, with a pair of stylized maltese crosses 3.5 h. x 8 1 8 w. in the center worked in pink, red, green and black threads. the next row below has two green trees in the center flanked by a house, worked in green outline with black windows and doors on each side. the bottom has a row of five crowns overtop of 2 blue birds with agnes fraser at the bottom. made by agnes fraser in england and brought to n.b. by the gillet family. violet gillet was a descendant. refer to mrs. tom baird, perth, n.b. 273-6223 |
