Description : red and white cotton print long straight sleeves, with ruffles cuffs and white eyelet lace on bottom stand up collar long bodice with stays on each side, gather puff out at back. 14 mother of pearl button. three missing down front. (dfm 19910829)
Fonctions : belonged to mary louise watson (nee jewett), 1882-1953. she lived at 632 george street, fredericton until her marriage to harold archibald watson in 1916, when her parents gave her the house on the corner of george and regent street 204 208; (rebecca watson lives there now) their children john archibald born 1917 rebecca elizabeth born 1919, robert alder born 1921 harry macgowan born 1923, rebecca watson found the collection of clothing in two trunks which had been stored away by her mother mary louise. she believes they may have been part of her mother's wedding trousseau.
