Description : | Heavy open work brass tray, basically a 14.5cm square with decorative extensions protruding from each side for 2.5cm. The pattern is basically flowers and leaves on the outer half, concentric circles on the inner half. The centre has a 4cm dia. well to receive F.S.980.145.77. Surrounding this is a circle of 24 small circles, each with a tiny sytlized flower inside. Sixteen slightly larger flowers form a bridge to the largest circle. The largest circle is 1 cm wide. The embossed pattern is similar to overlapping pointed leaves, wrapped with ribbon in a wreath like manner. In very good condition. Some wear in well. Needs cleaning. One break on outside edge. Underside rough finished, has R N 43709 stamped on and J R 23 scratched on in centre.; Ceramic; Metal, Brass |
