Description : | PIPE WRENCH A large cast iron pipe wrench that consists of two pieces loosely bolted together near the top. The largest piece has a long handle portion that is wider than it is thick. It curves at the top to a hook shape. There is a rectangular hole in the hook portion that the bolt from the other side goes through. Through the side into this same hole is a large bolt that can be tightened against the bolt from the other piece after moving this piece along to the desired position. Moving it along the bolt like this adjusts the opening between the two head ends of the wrench. The underside of the hook portion top is ridged so as to provide a better grip on the item being grasped. The second piece to the item has the same long handle portion that is wider than it is thick. It bulges and rounds slightly where the bolt holding the two pieces together passes through. It has more of a block end that acts as the bottom head of the clamp. This piece is 46.8cm long and 3.5cm wide at the slight bulge. It is 2.7cm thick at the block like end. The other large piece is 54 cm long. The hook portion is 2.5cm thick. The large bolt in this piece is 11.8cm long. Adjustable.; Metal, Steel Previous number 75-1560. Yellow chalk number on side of top jaw. |
