Description : | Merchandise Box - A rectangular shaped cardboard base of a bullet box. The bottom, is reinforced with tape. The bottom 1.5cm base is of double thickness and is covered with maroon paper. Printing in black on the purple states: on upper side, '(?) with Lead Bullets Winchester make on right end, 'Lead Bullet Winchester Make'; on lower side, '(?) C53 6.20 Winchester Repeating Arms Co.'; on left end 'Lead Bullet Winchester Make'. The box is 5.5cm wide x 10cm long and is 3 cm high. It contains 22 live rounds of .38 calibre revolver ammunition. Mr. David A Brown is the great great grandson of Michael Phillips and received the box of bullets as a momento from his mother, Mrs. Phyllis Brown. The box exhibits some wear. The bullets are all live rounmds and have not been catalogued or accessioned as they should either be diarmed or diusposed of.; Metal, Lead; Metal, Brass |
