Description : | Ivory lace and silk wedding dress. Stiff lace "Elizabethan" high back pleated collar. Lace bodice and sleeves. Body wholly lace overlay coming to a central triangular point at the waist and triangles over each hip. Narrow lace sleeves with no underlay. Broad piping at hem. Two lace panels down the front of the skirt separated by broad silk panels. Under the bodice and the whole skirt was silk. The skirt is longer at the back, forming a small train. Pleated at back waist. Closed by hooks on the left side under the arm. A matching silk slip with lace "V's" around the top was worn underneath. A 2 cm thin silk straps held it up. Fastened at the left side with 3 snaps and a hook. Triangular lace headdress with a veil sewn in and a cluster of wax yellow flowers on each end. Description of Parts: Gown Slip Headress |

April 9, 1955 at Knox Presbyterian Church in Guelph on June 24, 1931. They had two daughters Jean Saretta Cann McKechnie b. 1932 died Oct. 1/94 and Edith Nowell Loree Farrar b. 1938. |
