Description : Forceps designed to hold the Mark 4 radium applicator; these forceps were manufactured as sponge forceps, then were modified by having two metal lugs attached, so that they could clamp into the holes in the flat handle of a Mark 4 radium applicator; the forceps are a scissor-like instrument with long straight handles that have open circular finger grips; the handles have a locking device just below the finger grips; the handles join together just before the blades; the blades are long and rounded and end with open teardrop-shaped pieces; one of these blade ends has had two short cylindrical lugs attached to it
