Description : Collins/DS pulmonary function machine consists of a plastic (a) carcass with two metal handles on opposite sides; front of carcass has a control board with switches, dials and gages which are attached to three panels that can be opened to reveal the electical insides of the machine; (b-d) rubber hoses and (e) flat printer cable extend from the opposite side of carcass; carcass also supports a removable, adjustable (f) arm which supports a metal chamber marked " DIFFUSION VALVE"; attached to the arm is a plastic (g) arm cord; same side of carcass also features outlets for a variety of connectors and sockets possibly for breathing hoses; carcass top contains an inbuilt kymograph consisting of two cylindrical plastic chambers and a (h) drum; drum is capable of rotation between the two chambers as they slide along metal rods being either lowered into the carcass or rising above carcass top; machine comes with a (i) pack of chart paper, and two (j-k) loose chart sheets
