Description : Western Electric telegraph resonator, consisting of a cast iron stand and post from which extends horizontally an accordion-type metal arm that screws to a triangular box with one open side. To the floor of the box is mounted a telegraph sounder (2000.032.005). Base of the stand has four holes for screw-mounting to a counter. Unit has newer electrical wiring threading from the sounder through the arm and down the post. Probably circa 1935. Decal on back of the arm reads: Western Electric/Made in U.S.A.

Commentaires : Probably originated from the Kitchener Canadian National train station on Weber Street, where the donor was formerly employed.
