| Description : | A pair of pince-nez eyeglasses in a texturized black case lined with black velvet. The nosepieces are attached to springs, allowing the wearer to clamp the glasses to the bridge of the nose. Optometrist's sticker is inside the case lid: OPTOMETRIST / Jansen / MFG. OPTICIAN / KITCHENER / RIGHT AT THE MARKET. Another sticker indicating the wearer's prescription number is on the inside of the case. The right-eye lens has a small perforation at the outside edge for an earpiece chain, but the chain is not present. A fine sewing needle, 5 cm. long, is stuck through the lining of the lid.
