Commentaires : | According to the original catalogue record, 'these medals were owned by John Scott and since some bear his name, he presumably won them for various educational achievements such as English Composition and the reading and writing of Latin. |
Fonctions : | Dr. John Scott was born in Scotland in 1814. In 1834 he helped fight the cholera epidemic in Galt. Dr. Scott was the first warden of the county of Waterloo and the first reeve of the village of Berlin. He died in 1854. |
