| Description : | This is a silver pocket watch with a clear glass dial cover hinged to the front. The dial cover has a silver bezel (used to support the glass cover). The watch has a simple white enamel dial with black roman numerials around the perimeter. It also has a blued-steel minute and hour hand. There is subsidiary seconds dial below the hands. The back side of the case is hinged and when opened it reveals the single key winding hole on the back side of the watch. The inside of the door is stamped with the maker's marks, which reads: "NEWPORT COIN 462214". The back side of the watch is also hinged and when opened the internal workings of the watch are exposed. "A.W. Co. Broadway 1,926805 Waltham, Mass." is stamped on the plate that supports the internal workings of the watch. There is a small metal ring attached to the top of the case. (b) A small winding key belongs to this watch. It has an open circle in the centre with a small loop at one end and a narrow shaft at the other end.(c) An envelope was found with a piece of broken mainspring in it.
