Description : Redish-brown coloured designs featuring birds, flowers, and other geometric shapes. The center has a rope-like border surrounding it. The outer rim has a triangular, thatched pattern. On the backside of the plate is the maker's mark.

On this particular plate there is a triangular figure with the leters "M & F" at the bottom. According the Geoffery Godden, this could refer to either Mills and Fradley, c. 1827-1835 or Meakin and Farrall, c. 1850-55. The symbol, according to Godden's own table of registration marks, gives a conflicting date of 1883. This can be figured as follows:

The roman numerals "IV" refers to all porcelain and pottery objects. The "K" on the right side refers to the earliest possible year of manufacture = 1883. The "B" on the bottom panel refers to the month of October. The "2" in the top panel is the day of the month. And, the "22" on the left side refers to the parcel number. The word, "CONCO" above is the style name.

According to the yellow cataloguing card, however, the date is 1838.
