| Description : | A carte de visite studio portrait mounted on buff-coloured card. The card is printed along the bottom in black lettering: Wilhelm Stein Berlin/ Chausseestr. 65/66.The back is also printed: Wilhelm Stein/ Photographische Abteilung/ Berlin,/ Chausseestr. 65/66. The woman is standing behind the arm of a chair with an elaborate carved back. She is wearing a white blouse made of fine fabric. It has a pouched front, frills, a high stand collar, and long sleeves ruched along their length, matching the pouched front. She is also wearing a dark gored skirt. She holds a small bouquet of white flowers in her right hand. Her hair is up but full around her head with curls on her forehead. Circa 1900. 6.5 x 10 cm ORIGINAL |
